School Gardens Project

Implementation Period: 2022 – Ongoing


Objective:
To establish and promote school gardens as a tool for hands-on education in sustainable agriculture, nutrition, and environmental stewardship.


Key Activities:

    - Developed school gardens to teach students about organic farming and healthy eating.

    - Conducted training sessions for teachers and students on garden management, composting, and sustainable farming practices.

    - Integrated garden activities into school curriculums to enhance learning on food systems and environmental conservation.

    - Promoted the use of indigenous crops to preserve biodiversity and cultural food heritage.


Outcomes:

    - Empowered students with practical skills in gardening and sustainability.

    - Increased awareness of healthy diets and the importance of local food systems.

    - Strengthened the connection between schools, communities, and sustainable agriculture practices.


Impact:
The project continues to cultivate a new generation of environmentally conscious individuals while supporting sustainable agriculture education in schools.
